Winter Running Technique Tips

So running in the snow can be treacherous but it sure beats running on a treadmill, right?

Outside of running outside or the treadmill you could also find an indoor track in your area. But often times you'll have to pay to access it.

Let's save us some boredom and some money by sticking to the road. Here's a few tips that we're sharing from our friend, C Tolle Run.

1. Take shorter Strides.

There's going to be a lot of varied and slippery terrain. Shorter your strides up to better help you keep your footing.

2. Prepare to be sore!
your first few runs will really challenge your stabilzer muscles. Be preapred to be sore for the first few days of winter running. You will soon adjust and be back to normal again.

3. Watch out for black Ice.

Black ice is hard to see and is very slippery! Be cautious of roads that look to have melted off while you're running.
